What is the strength of traditional radio today? Suggest reasons why fewer people are listening to radio? What will happen to the DJ in the future job market?
How consumers are listening to music is as important to marketers as

The strength of traditional radios is dropping. They now use cd's mp3's and ipod's instead of all the comercials. However the dj's of a radio give it the character and humor people look for. They add a personality to a station.
ReplyDeleteThey need to know how we listen to music just as much as what because they need to know how to sell their products to us effectively.
The strentgh of traditional radio today is that's how new music is released. TV is becoming more popular, along with internet which allows you to listen to radio online. DJ jobs will decrease. How consumers listen to music is just as important because if your younger than your going to mot likely listen to music on the internet but older people normally listen on the radio.
ReplyDeletewell fewer people listen to the radio an many people have other electronics. djs wont loose any thing really
ReplyDeleteThe strength of traditional radio today is how fast they can release new music to people. Now people are listening to music on the internet and downloading the music on their mp3s and ipods. DJs will start losing their jobs and we might not be seeing much radio stations in about a decade since people don't need it to listen to music.
ReplyDeletethe strength of traditional radio is the numbers of songs they play.cause now people how ipods so they listen to there ipods instead of the radio. It will go down cause people can just plug in there ipod and music.people are now listing to there ipods cause they put the songs they like instead of listing to the radio.
ReplyDeleteWell you can have the radio...which plays probley a good song every other 4 songs..Then you got your Ipod which everything you like is on it. Soooo i think Ipod>radio also i feel bad for dj's cause other than maybe 16th birthday parties, marrages, and other special events which is still unlikly maybe due to how you can just hook up for ipod, that a dj can come to use
ReplyDeleteI don't think radio will ever go out because many people cannot afford ipods and cds. The economy has gone down and many people are spending their cash on more important things besides music. Although, i do believe the radio industry have gone down because of the ipod and itunes.
ReplyDeletethe strength of the radio will depend on how often they play commercials. because alot of people now a days have ipods and mp3 players and the djs will die away because no one will need them anymore, no one wants to listen to the radio. and plus, on the ipods they can listen to what THEY chose, not the dj.
ReplyDeleteThe strength of the traditional radio is when new music are coming in.Since people are now buying ipods, less people are listening to traditional radios. The DJ still won't die away because no matter how many people are taking ipods, there are still people that are listening to radios.
ReplyDeleteif you can afford an mp3 player o ipod or whatever, always is going be better than listen to the radio. You can choose the song that you want in the moment that you want.In the future i think aswell that all the DJs are going to dissappear becouse of the new tecnology.
ReplyDeletethe strenght of the traditional radio is so strong i dont think its going to go out because people like to hear news different songs that are free...also i may be wrong because people ar buying ipods and mp3 and some of them have radio on them and you can choose your own songs....
ReplyDeleteMost peoplehave quit listing to the raido because more people have gotten iPods and MP3s and are listing to music that way. Also people can plug their iPods into the car and listen to music that way in the car.
ReplyDeleteAs for DJ jobs in the feature I think they will slowly decrease and then become unimportant.
I do think that more people listen to iPods b/c they are portable, but I think radio is still strong.Products can be advertised, its easy entertainment, and you can't really wear headphones while you drive. Radio can be heard in stores, the car, and the computer. As for DJs, I don't think they will go away. They run the radio stations, make them fun to listen to, and entertain at weddings, parties, dances, etc.
ReplyDeletethe dj industry will godown and bc we got the choice of picking watever song we want not wat the radio wants in our own hands
ReplyDeleteThis is Rand Ballance, Even though i think radio is starting to fade away, people will still listen to the radio because it is the place where you hear newly released music, I think radio still has a good 10 -15 years left, also the older generations of people will still continue to the listen to the radio because they have absolutely no clue how to work an ipod or even a cd player for that matter, but yes, radio is losing hope but it still has some time left.
ReplyDeleteRadio is a way for people to hear an artist's new music. Fewer people are listening to the radio because people like to be able to look at what they're hearing, like they can when watching tv. A DJ will eventually lose their job as radio becomes less and less popular as more people are begininning to listen to their iPod more than the radio. Marketers need to know what type of music their target market listens to, or else people will not listen to their station.

Well, radio is still listened to alot because alot of people the majority of the time hear new songs on the radio. Eventually the Dj's would probably be slim to none left in the market because of eletronics that hook up to docking stations that have big stereo sounding speakers. And its just as important to know what people are listening to, just as well as how they listen to the music.
ReplyDeleteThe strenth of traditonal radio is fading away. It is fading away because more people listens to their mp3 and ipods. The dj's jobs will decrease. Consumers listen to music just as important because if your younger than your going to not likely listen to music on the internet but older people normally listen on the radio and younger people listen to radioon online.
ReplyDeleteThe tradition of radio is not as strong as it use to be. Most likely because people listen to their ipods and mp3. Djs jobs in the future wont be as common. Also people like to listen to the radio to hear new songs and news updates.
